SOCALOA Mission and Objectives
The Southern California Lacrosse Officials Association exists for three primary reasons:
1. To coordinate training of lacrosse officials working boy’s lacrosse games in the Southern Section of CIF and certifying that all officials have completed their annual training and our eligible to work games.
2. To coordinate and provide jurisdiction over the regional lacrosse units within the Southern Section of CIF and to establish assigning areas/boundaries of such units.
3. To be the single point of communication with the Southern Section of CIF on matters related to lacrosse officials, officials fees, and other matters related to boys lacrosse officials working Southern Section CIF games.
Membership of Units: The SOCALOA recognizes any organized units operating within the Southern Section of CIF at its inception and will be the voice for said units. Currently, the Orange County Lacrosse Officials Association (OCLOA) and the Pacific Coast Lacrosse Officials Association (PCLOA) are the only established units that are recognized by the SOCALOA. As additional units are established, the SOCALOA Board of Directors will vote on establishing their recognition as units under the SOCALOA.
